The one thing that I hear often “Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable.” Often this phrase is intertwined with the idea of honesty of expression, questioning character. Cliche’d phrases have a way to bringing truth to any life experience, but I have trouble accepting this phrase as the end all be all of how to express personal truth, or honesty.
Truth and honesty has nothing to do with vulnerability. Truth in its absolute form is empowering, particularly when used tactfully. Failure at tact makes any absolute truth cumbersome, repulsive and disenchanting.
Truth in its absolute form is empowering.
An Absolute truth stated tactfully, is enchanting.
There are very few absolute truths, but find that absolute truth in the moment, and you’ll find the ability to be genuine.
